ENTRIES INVITED FOR BHARATENDU HARISHCHANDRA AWARDS

    The Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has invited entries for the Bharatendu Harishchandra Awards for the year 2001. These awards would be given to the books/manuscripts written in Hindi during 1st January, 2001 to 31st December, 2001 on the subjects of Journalism and Mass Communication, Women’s Issues, National Integration and Children’s Literature. Details are given below:

  1. JOURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION
  2. The award is given to encourage original and creative writing in Hindi on the subjects related to various disciplines of Mass Communication i.e. Journalism, Publicity, Advertisement, Radio, Television, Film, Printing, Publications etc.

    First Prize Rs. 35,000/-

    Second prize Rs. 25,000/-

    Third Prize Rs. 20,000/-

    Consolation Prize (5) (each) Rs. 5,000/-

  3. WOMEN’S ISSUES

Award is given to women writers for books on current issues concerning women in society.

First Prize Rs. 15,000/-

Second Prize Rs. 10,000/-

(c) NATIONAL INTEGRATION

Award is given for the books on National Integration.

First Prize Rs. 15,000/-

Second Prize Rs. 10,000/-

(d) CHILDREN’S LITERATURE

The award is given on books for children.

First Prize Rs. 15,000/-

Second Prize Rs. 10,000/-

    The last date for receiving the entries is 31st January 2002. Interested writers may write or personally contact the Assistant Director (OL), Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Patiala House, New Delhi for rules and regulations.
