SENDING OF ANNUAL REPORT TO SHAREHOLDERS

    Registrars of Companies (ROCs) all over the country have issued default notices to 2,54,565 companies for their failure to send audited annual reports to the shareholders in terms of the provisions of Section 219 of the Companies Act, 1956.

    Under Section 219 of the Companies Act, companies are required to hold Annual General Meeting regularly and send audited reports to the shareholders or members of the companies. Default notices are issued by ROCs whenever any such default is noticed by them.

    Annual General Meetings are generally held regularly and audited reports sent to the members or shareholders of the companies as required under Section 219 of the Companies Act.
