ACUTE FABRILE ILLNESS IN SHIMLA
NO NEW CASE REPORTED IN THE AFFECTED AREA'
No new case of acute fabrile illness has been reported from the affected area of Hat Koti village in Shimla District. However, two children of the family of admitted patients at PGI Chandigarh showed the same symptoms and were admitted to the isolated ward of PGI.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, report on the investigation from PGI is expected by Monday. The three-member NICD team, which visited the patients admitted at PGI and the affected area in Himachal Pradesh, will return to Delhi with specimen on February 17, 2002.
