KERALA GETS RS.300.19 LAKH FOR COMPUTERISATION OF LAND RECORDS

RS.98.22 LAKH RELEASED TO KARNATAKA FOR WASTELANDS DEVELOPMENT

FUNDS RELEASED TO TAMIL NADU FOR IEC PROGRAMME

    The Ministry of Rural Development has released Rs. 300.19 lakh to Kerala, Under Centrally sponsored Scheme of Computerisation of Land Records, in the State. The State would be spending the funds in 63 taluks for the Scheme. Similarly, Rs.50 lakh has been released under the same programme, to NCT of Delhi during the year 2001-2002. Out of the allocated funds, Rs. 38.00 lakh should be spending for data entry and Rs. 12 lakh for training of Revenue Staff for CLR work.

    The Ministry of has released Rs.98.22 lakh to Karnataka under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme - Integrated Wastelands Development Project (IWDP) during the year 2001-2002. The Bellary district gets Rs.46.34 lakh and Gulbarga distrcit gets Rs.51.29 lakh for the project.

    The Ministry has released Rs.49.82 lakh to four districts of Tamil Nadu, namely, Kancheepuram, Namakkal, Karur and Virudhunangar towards part of first instalment for implementation of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Programme.

    While, Pondicherry gets Rs.26.17 lakh from the Ministry, as additional funds for construction of Survey Training Centre during the current financial year under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Strengthening of Revenue Administration and Updating of Land Records (SRA&ULR).
