FUNDS RELEASED TO MANIPUR, ARUNACHAL PRADESH, MEGHALAYA FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES

    The Ministry of Rural Development has released a total amount of Rs.920.70 lakh to the State Government of Manipur during the year 2001-2002. Rs. 821.50 lakh has been released towards first instalment for Accelerated Rural Water Supply Programme (ARWSP) under Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission (RGNDWM).

    The Ministry has also released Rs.99.20 to Ukrul district of Manipur under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Integrated Wastelands Development Project (IWDP) during the current financial year.

    Similarly, Rs. 17.38 lakh has been released to the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), West Kameg district of Arunachal Pradesh under Integrated Wastelands Development Project (IWDP) during the year 2001-2002.

    The Ministry has also released Rs.14 lakh as second instalment of funds, to the State Government of Meghalaya, under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Computerisation of Land Records (CLRs) during the current financial year.
