    gatsindiaeducation.org., a new website giving details about the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) was launched by Shri B. K. Chaturvedi, Secretary, Department of Higher and Secondary Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development(HRD), here today. The HRD Ministry has set up a technical Committee regarding India’s response to GATS. Thus, basically, this website has been launched for access to a wider audience. Besides, giving all details of the aspects of trade in educational services, a questionnaire has also been included to survey, through those who access the website, the strength of educational services in India and the possibilities of giving market access in this sector. The questionnaire will also include a section regarding people’s views on what kind of commitment India should receive from other countries in this area.
