POPULARISE HINDI AS OFFICIAL LANGUAGE SAYS SATYANARAYAN JATIYA

    The Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment Dr.Satyanarayan Jatiya has called for making concerted efforts in popularising use of Hindi as official language. Addressing his Ministry’s Hindi Advisory Committee meeting here today, Dr. Jatiya stressed the need for taking very effective steps in this regard. He urged the senior officers to take lead in this direction, as it would encourage others in promoting Hindi as official language. The Minister appreciated the efforts made by National Minorities Commission, National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation and National Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission in the use of Hindi in official communications and urged other organistions of the Ministry to emulate their example.

    The Members said that there should be no difficulty in promoting the use of Hindi as it is the national language. They suggested that the use of foreign words that have equivalents in Hindi should not be encouraged while promoting it as official language.

    23 members of the Hindi Advisory Committee including Shri Ram Chander Baenda, MP, attended the meeting. The Secretary, Social Justice & Empowerment Ministry Shri C. Gopal Reddy and other senior officials of the Ministry and various subordinate offices participated in the meeting.
