SUGAR AND SUGAR PRODUCTS UNDER ISI MARK

    The Certification Marks Scheme of the BIS is essentially voluntary. Therefore, the manufacturers of sugar and sugar products will be free to apply for BIS certification of their products under the scheme, and to obtain licenses to use the Standard Mark (popularly known as the ISI Mark). This will help in bringing enhanced quality awareness among the manufactures of sugar & sugar products. Besides, it will also help in establishing better credibility of the quality of Indian sugar in the international market.
