    In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (1) Shri Maharaj Sinha, (2) Shri Jayanta Kumar Biswas and (3) Kumari Indira Banerjee to be the judges of the Calcutta High Court, in that order to seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective office.
