SHRI YADAV RELEASES HANDBOOK
ON FOODGRAINS
A "Handbook
on Foodgrains" covering various functions of the Department
of Food was released by Shri Sharad Yadav, Minister of Consumer
Affairs, Food and Public Distribution here today. The handbook
, compiled by the Deparment in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs,
Food and Public Distribution provides information relating to
production, procurement, enforcement of quality specifications,
storage, allotment and offtake of foodgrains from the central
pool ctc.
Speaking to mediapersons
after releasing the handbook, Shri Yadav said this was an effort
to bring transparency in the functioning of his department.
