The Minister of Information
and Broadcasting, Smt. Sushma Swaraj has condoled the death of
former All India Radio News Broadcaster, Latika Ratnam, who passed
away in Toronto (Canada) on December 16. In a message, Smt. Swaraj
said that Latika was top class broadcaster who endeared herself
to millions of listeners in the country at a time when radio was
the dominant medium. The members of the older generation still
remember her beautiful voice, Smt. Swaraj said.
