LOK SABHA
Government have formulated
a Scheme for Counselling, Retraining and Redeployment (CRR) for
the employees of Central PSEs, who have been rationalised under
the Voluntary Retirement scheme or other mode of restructuring,
including retrenchment. This scheme has been introduced from the
year 2001-02. The salient features of the Scheme are:
- Redeployment / self-employment
of the rationalised employees through short duration training
programmes, for which fund is provided by Government.
- Sensitisation Camp prior to release
of the VR optees in the premises of CPSUs / units.
- Provision of opportunity to the
employees to engage themselves in income generating activities
on self-employment basis and rejoin the productive process.
This information

Industries and Public Enterprises in a written reply to a question
by Shri K.H. Muniyappa in Lok Sabha today.
