LOK SABHA
Based on the
memoranda of understanding with the Defence public Sector Undertakings
and in consultation with the Ordnance Factory Board, Defence exports
are targeted at Rs 230 crore in the current financial year. The
Ordnance Factory Board and Defence Public Sector Undertakings
have been exporting some of their products for several years mainly
to countries in Asia and Africa and some to Europe and North America
after meeting domestic requirements.
This information
was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written
reply to Smt Jas Kaur Meena and Shri Kalava Srinivasulu in Lok
Sabha today.
