RAJYA SABHA
The Government intends
to develop Inland Water Transport mode through plan assistance
and private sector participation. No specific long-term plan has
been drawn up. There is no proposal to set up a separate task
force for this purpose.
This was stated by
Shri Su. Thirunavukkarasar in a written reply to a question by
Dr. A.K. Patel in Rajya Sabha today.
