ENERGY PARKS IN KARNATAKA
A total of eleven
Energy Parks have so far been sanctioned in Karnataka till 2001-2002.
An amount of Rs.
5.18 lakhs was sanctioned for the setting up an Energy Park at
Mangalore University, Mangalore in 2001-2002. Funds have not been
sanctioned during 2002-2003 as no Energy Park proposal has so
far been received from the State Implementing Agency-Karnataka
State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST).
Energy Parks have
not been sanctioned so far in Karnataka during 2002-2003 as proposals
have not been received from KSCST.
This information
was given by Shri M. Kannappan, Minister of State for Non-Conventional
Energy Sources in reply to a question by Shri K.B. Krishna Murthy
in the Rajya Sabha today.
