Government has decided
to entrust the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in BSF, CRPF,
ITBP and the Special Security Branch to the Union Public Service
Commission from the year 2003-04. The four Central Para-Military
Forces had so far been conducting the examinations for this Gazetted
Rank Post by rotation. This was being done under the overall supervision
of the Special Selection Board constituted by the Home Ministry.
This was stated
by the Minister of State for Home, Sh. Ch. Vidyasagar Rao in the
Lok Sabha today.
