Shri Jai Singh Gill,
former Director General, Council for Advancement of People's Action
and Rural Technology (CAPART), has taken over today as the Secretary,
Ministry of Steel. He was recruited in the IAS in 1968 and joined
the Punjab cadre. Before CAPART Shri Gill was the Managing Director
of the Food Corporation of India (FCI). inister of State for Commerce
& Industry, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
