of coal was the highest at Rs. 1597 crore (36%). Next in the order
of importance were: petroleum (crude) Rs. 1519 crore, natural
gas (utilised) Rs. 705 crore, iron ore Rs. 184 crore, limestone
Rs. 119 crore and lignite Rs. 106 crore. Tbese six minerals together
contributed 96% of the total value of mineral production in June
