SHRI VEERANNA AIVALLI PASES AWAY

Commissioner, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Shri Veeranna Aivalli died in New Delhi today after a brief illness. He was 59. Shri Aivalli was a 1966 batch IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre. He headed the Bureau for over 3 years.

The Civil Aviation Minister Shri Syed Shahnawaz Hussain has deeply mourned the death of Shri Aivalli. In a message, the Minister recalled the contribution Shri Aivalli made towards Civil Aviation Security at the International level being the Chairman of the Aviation Security Audit Programme in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Montreal. Shri Hussain said, his contribution towards the domestic aviation security will be remembered.

The funeral will take place at New Delhi tomorrow.
