DISPOSAL OF CASES BY FAST TRACK COURTS IN ANDHRA PRADESH
RAJYA SABHA
The rate of disposal
of per judge per month by the Fast Track Courts in Andhra Pradesh
is 15.14 cases which is above the target of 14 cases fixed by
the High Court of Andhra Pradesh as per the scheme.
8286 cases have
been transferred to these courts.
So far, 4329 cases
have been disposed of.
At present, 3957
cases are pending in Fast Track Courts.
The High Court
of Andhra Pradesh has not given directive to the Fast Track Courts
to dispose of pending cases by the end of December, 2002. But
the disposal of cases by Fast Track Courts is being monitored
by the High Court every month and suitable instructions are being
issued to the officers who do not achieve the target fixed by
the High Court.
This information
was given by the Union Minister of Law and Justice Shri K. Jana
Krishnamurthi in a written reply to a question from Shri Ghulam
Nabi Azad in the Rajya Sabha today.
