JOINT OPERATION OF PANNA-MUKTA OIL FIELD


Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, today informed that the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited, Reliance Industries Limited and British Gas have constituted a working group to discuss different joint operatorship models for the Panna-Mukta and Tapti oil and gas fields. No agreement for jointly operating these fields has been finalised. While the oil reserves of Panna-Mukta as on 1.4.2002 are 21.85 Million Metric tonne the gas reserves for Panna-Mukta and Tapti are 31.75 and 42.86 Billion Cubic Metre respectively.
