RESEARCH AND DEVELOPLMENT ACTIVITIES OF PSUs

The Research and Development activities in Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) in the present context of competition, domestic as well as international, vary from PSE to PSE depending on the technology level and product/service profile. PSEs have been advised that they should pay special attention to the assessment of their own technology status, to acquiring and assimilating the technologies necessary to make them competitive and their own R&D efforts to maintain a sustained strength in the technological field. Monitoring the efficacy of R&D efforts comes under the purview of the respective PSEs/Administrative Ministries.
