NALCO PRODUCES 19673 MT ALUMINIUM DURING MARCH 2002
National Aluminium Company Limited produced 483,493 MT of bauxite against the target of 310,000 MT during March 2002. During the month NALCO produced 19,673 MT of aluminium cast metal whereas the target for the month was 19,500 MT. Net generation from CPP during the month was 379.65 MU against the target 348.30 MU. The cumulative production of aluminium upto March 2002 was 231,674 MT whereas the target was 230,000 MT. However, the production of calcined Alumina was 132,770 MT against the target of 138,000 MT.
Total metal sale including transfer to project during the month was 29,249 MT against the target of 19,200 MT. Domestic Metal Sale was 14,302 MT against the target of 8150 MT. Aluminium export during the period was 14,596 MT against the target of 11,050 MT. However, the alumina export fell short of the target and the export was 95,367 MT against the target of 100,000 MT.
The gross sales turn over during the month was worth 290.50 crore of Rupees and the cumulative gross sales turn over upto March 2002 was worth Rs. 2386.27 crore.
