CGHS BENEFICIARIES CAN PURCHASE MEDICINE ON CMO ADVICE

Government has decided that medicines not available in the CGHS dispensary can be procured from the open market up to seven days on the advice of CMO I/C of the CGHS dispensary. This has been done to mitigate the inconvenience faced by the CGHS beneficiaries in general and pensioners/ senior citizens in particular, due to the uncalled for strike by the CGHS empanelled local chemists,

The respective departments will do the reimbursement for the serving employees. For the pensioners / senior citizens the reimbursement will be done in the dispensary itself. The dispensary will notify the date for reimbursement.
