    A two-day National Conference on agriculture for Kharif Campaign is being organised by the Union Ministry of Agriculture from Thursday, the 4^th April, 2002. Representatives from States and Union Territories will attend this conference and discuss the performance of agriculture as well as ways to increase production and productivity of crops in the Kharif season. The two-day meeting will also project the production of crops during the ensuing season apart from finalising the production figures of the Rabi crops. Recent developments in agriculture technology, new schemes and programmes to be launched will also come up for discussion.
