EXPANSION OF NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION


LOK SABHA

National Capital Region covers an area of 30,242 Sq. Kms. This include 1,483 Sq. Kms of NCT Delhi; 13,413 of Haryana Sub-region comprising Faridabad, Gurgaon, Rohtak, Sonepat, Panipat, Jhajjar & Rewari districts; 10,853 Sq. Km of UP Sub-region comprising of Buland Shahr, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Guantambudh Nagar & Bhaghpat districts; 4,493 Sq. Km of Rajasthan sub-region comprising of Alwar, Behror, Ramgarh, Mandawar, Krishangarh Bas, Tijara and Kotkasim tehsils of Alwar district.

Members of Parliament and others have requested for inclusion of three tehsils of Bharatpur district, Aligarh district and remaining tehsils of Alwar district. Action is being taken by the Government based on the recommendation of the National Capital Region Planning Board.
