ADVISORY
PANEL ON FILM FESTIVALS CONSTITUTED
The Government has set
up an Advisory Panel on Film Festivals in order to have a regular
forum for consultation with film-makers, industry representatives
and other connected with the film movement on the policies and
programmes of the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), an attached
office of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The 20-Member
Panel will advise the DFF in the formulation of its polices and
programmes and their implementation. The Panel, headed by Secretary,
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, includes nine ex-officio
members, five representatives from film industries and five non-official
members. The term of the Panel will be one year.
