DIAMOND DECLARES 20% DIVIDEND
Hindustan Diamond
Company Private Limited (HDC), the largest supplier of rough diamonds
to small and medium manufacturers-exporters of polished diamonds
in India, has reported a turnover of Rs. 551 crore in 2001-02.
The company has maintained 20% dividend to its shareholders, although
the share capital has doubled to Rs. 5.60 crore following the
bonus issue made last year.
The dividend cheque
for Rs. 56 lakh was presented by Shri Virendra Singh, Chairman
& Managing Director, HDC to Shri Dipak Chatterjee, Commerce
Secretary, here today. Government of India holds 50% shares in
the company.
