The entire India Code, which includes
Constitution of India, Manual of Election Laws, Central Acts till
date, Index to the Central Acts and Chronological Table, have
been made available on NICNET and INTERNET. The website address

This is intended to help legal professionals,
courts, law students, media, academics, corporate sector and others
as a ready reference material on the Constitution and all other
Central Laws in the country.
Meanwhile, the old India Code containing
Acts of Parliament upto the years 1970 have been updated in 31
volumes. Out of them, 16 volumes have been published and made
available for sale and for the use of the public. The remaining
volumes are under print.
Annual volumes of Acts of Parliament
for the years 1999 and 2000 have been published and for the year
2001 are under print. The pocket size edition of the Constitution
of India in diglot form has been published. Modified editions
of the Central Acts in diglot form from time to time are also
published on public demand.
In the area of maintenance of State
Acts, the Legislative Department is compiling the Chronological
Table of all the State Acts and Ordinances enacted by the State
Governments with their cooperation. This is expected to be placed
in electronic form as well as published by the end of current
financial year.
