USE OF CEMENT CONRETE FOR NHDP.
The Cement Manufacturers Association has made a representation advocating the use of cement concrete pavement in National Highways Development Project (NHDP) committee has been constituted by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways with representation from Cement Manufacturers Association also, for a realistic assessment in respect of use of cement concrete pavement. The National Highways Authority of India has identified an aggregate length of 1680 kilometers under NHDP for the use of cement concrete pavement.
This information was given in the Rajya Sabha today in a written reply by the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways (Independent Charge), Major Gen. B.C.Khanduri, AVSM (Retd.).
