TRAINING PROGRAMMES BY CULTURAL RESOURCE AND TRAINING CENTRE
The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) trains students under its Community and Extension Service programmes which include educational tours to monuments, museums, art galleries, craft centres, zoological parks and gardens; workshops and Camps on conservation of the natural and cultural heritage, learning crafts using low cost locally available resources, lectures and demonstrations by artists and craft persons, slide lectures supplementing classroom teaching etc.
During the period from 1996-97 to 2000-2001, the CCRT organised 391 Workshops, 306 educational visits and 53 other educational programmes, in which 81325, students were trained.
During the financial year 2001-2002, the CCRT will be organising about 200 workshops, 40 educational visits and 30 other educational activities, in which around 20,000 students will be trained.
