1.83 LAKH POSTS ABOLISHED
Above 1.83 lakh posts, pertaining to different groups, have been abolished in various Ministries/Departments as a result of the exercise following a decision by the Government to achieve 10 per cent reduction in the number of posts (as on 1.1.92), according to the information available with the Ministry of Finance.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Small Scale Industries and Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Smt. Vasundhara Raje in a written reply to a question by Smt. Margaret Alva in Lok Sabha today.
