The Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Research and Training supplements the efforts of State Governments to preserve and promote the Tribal Culture and provides for financial assistance on 50:50 basis. In addition, the Scheme of Education Complexes in Low Literacy Pockets provides for 100% financial assistance and enjoins upon the grantee institutions to impart coaching to the Tribal girl students from class I to III in local tribal dialects only to preserve and promote tribal languages and culture.

        A number of schemes have been sanctioned for the development of tribals in the field of health, employment and education sectors.
