The work of the Commission is under way and its hearings are in progress.

    The Commission has not submitted any interim report.

    Government have placed an amount of Rs. 2 crore at the disposal of the Commission to meet their financial requirements.

    Government is considering the request of the Commission for grant of further extension of time for a period of four months from 24.11.2001
