The 13^th Commonwealth Health Ministers' Conference will begin from November 25, 2001 at Christchurch, New Zealand. The Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. C.P.Thakur, will lead the Indian delegation to this triennial meeting. The prior meeting was held at St. Phillip, Barbadas in November 1998.

        The theme of the meeting is "Priority Setting in Health: Processes and Mechanisms" which will address the whole range of issues related to health sector reforms. Other topics to be discussed include "Response to HIV/AIDS" and "Impact of Globalization on Health".
