5QUAMI EKTA WEEK NOVEMBER 19-25, 2001
Quami Ekta Week will be observed throughout the country during November 19-25, 2001 to foster the spirit of patriotism, national integration and communal harmony. The Home Minister, Shri L.K. Advani in a letter to all Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of States, Lt. Governors and Administrators of Union Territories has urged to observe the week through creative and well-orchestrated programmes in a meaningful manner so as to bring forth and articulate the public statement against the divisive forces and secessionist and fundamentalist elements. Shri Advani said the National Integration Week provides an opportunity which should be fully utilized to reaffirm our faith in the spirit of tolerance, co-existence and brotherhood without discrimination on grounds of religion, race, community or caste.
