DR. CHIDAMBARAM APPOINTED PRINCIPAL SCIENTIFIC ADVISER
Dr. R. Chidambaram, former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission has been appointed as Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, in the rank of Minister of State. Dr. Chidambarams appointment will take effect from the date he assumes the charge.
The Prime Minister has accepted the resignation of the present incumbent Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who would be demitting the said office on 12th November, 2001.
