MEETING OF INVESTORS IN MINING SECTOR ON NOVEMBER 12, 2001

    The Union Minister of Coal and Mines, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan has convened a first-ever meeting of investors in the mining sector on November 12, 2001, wherein Chief Executive Officers of 91 Investor Companies in mining representing a wide cross section of domestic and transnational mining investment companies will take part.

    Besides, Secretaries in charge of Mining and Geology of the mineral bearing States of India and Central Ministries and Departments like Environment and Forests, Commerce and Industry, Atomic Energy and Civil Aviation will take part in the tripartite meeting of the Central Government, State Governments and Investors in the mining.

    The meeting is expected to result in further investment in the mining sector.
