BELARUSSIAN AMBASSADOR CALLS ON S. S. DHINDSA

    H.E. Uladzimir Sakalouski, Ambassador of Belarus called on the Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri S. S. Dhindsa, here today. The two sides discussed matters of interest and cooperation including the chemicals, oil and fertilizer sector in the two countries. India and Belarus have a Joint Working Group on Drugs & Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare. There are a number of issues under discussion by the Joint Working Group. Supply of Indian Bulk Drugs and Pharmaceuticals to Belarus, setting up of joint ventures in pharmaceuticals, joint research and development of drugs etc. are some of the areas in which the two countries are cooperating. Microbiology and production of pure amino acids and crystal glucose are the two projects identified for joint research and development of drugs.
