VIST OF MYANMAR NAVAL CHIEF

    Vice Admiral Kyi Min, Commander-in-Chief Myanmar Navy is on visit to India from 02^nd to 08^th Nov 2001 on invitation of the Chief of Naval Staff.

    He has visited Kolkata and Mumbai where he met the Commanders-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command and Western Naval Command respectively. He inspected a Naval Guard of Honour at South Block at 0910 hrs today.

    Later in the day he called on Admiral Sushil Kumar, Chief of Naval Staff, General S Padmanabhan, Chief of Army Staff, Air Chief Marshal AY Tipnis, Chief of Air Staff, Lt Gen P Joshi, Chief of Integrated Staff and Mr Krishnam Raju, Minister of State for Defence.

    Matters of mutual interest and co-operation were discussed during the meetings.
