    Shri C. Gopal Reddy today took over as the Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment today. Shri Reddy belongs to the 1966 batch of the IAS from Karnataka and has a vast experience in administration, finance and rural development. He was Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary, Finance in the government of Karnataka prior to taking over the present assignment. Earlier serving the state in various capacities, Shri Reddy has been the Finance Secretary of Karnataka for more than ten years. He has also been associated with the Departments of Agriculture, Health and Rural development.
