‘OORUKU NOORUPER’ TO BE THE INAUGURAL FEATURE FILM OF INDIAN PANORMA AT IFFI-2001

    ‘Ooruku Nooruper’ ( A Hundred Voices for a Cause) directed by B.Lenin would be the inaugural film of feature film category of the Indian Panorama section at the 32nd International Film Festival of India-2001, scheduled to be held in Bangalore from October 10 to 20, 2001. The thirteen-member Indian Panorama Feature Film Jury headed by the Chairman Shri Shaji N. Karun, which concluded viewing of the entries, presented the list of 30 films selected for screening, to the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Smt. Sushma Swaraj, here today. It took 20 days for the Jury to view 103 films and made all selections unanimously. The members of the jury are S/Shri M. S. Sathyu, Swapan Mullick, A. R. Raju, Pulok Gogoi, Edida Nageshwar Rao, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Dr. Vijaya, Dr. A. S. Pragasam, Dr. Jabbar Patel, Ms. Hema Chowdhari, Ms. Sushama Shiromanee, Ms. Uma Sharma.
