   Ministry of Rural Development has released second instalment of Employment Assurance Scheme (EAS) in advance to all the 30 districts of Orissa in view of flood and drought prevailing in the State and 32 districts of Rajasthan in view of the third year of drought prevailing in the State..

    The Ministry has also relaxed the rules for Utilisation Certificate/Audit Report at this stage. However, the State Governments of Orhe Ministry hasissa and Rajasthan will submit the Utilisation Certificate/Audit Report – 2000-2001 on or before by 31^st December, 2001.

    Rural Development Ministry has already released first instalment to Orissa amounting to Rs.3156.95 lakhs. During the current financial year Ministry has released first instalment amounting to Rs.1582.63 lakhs and Rs.395.66 lakhs on account of PRI to Rajasthan.
